Modern Simulation Tool Usage in the Area of Technical Diagnostic of Technological Devices

Abstract


The complex modeling a simulating tools exploration in tasks of modeling and simulating of technological devices is grooving in the present time. The important property of this systems is their comprehensive conception, possibility to connect it to the existing automation and measurement systems, sufficient wide pallet of tools enabling analyze, synthesis and next export of models to the common programmable languages a thereby theirs usage in current technical praxis. This paper focuses on one area of technical diagnostic, which task is assessment of technical lifetime of crystallizer on continuous steel casting devices. This task is solved in program environment of MATLAB program using fast measuring card dSpace.

Modelling of the PAM Based Antagonistic Actuator

Abstract


Pneumatic artificial muscles (PAM) are usually connected in the antagonistic configuration. The artificial muscles are acting against themselves and resultant position of the actuator is given by equilibrium of their forces according to different pressures in muscles. Model of the system consisting of ON/OFF solenoid valves and pneumatic artificial muscles in antagonistic connection was designed. The designed model of the actuator unlike up to now models regards with different dynamic characteristics of pneumatic artificial muscle by filling and emptying of compressed air from muscle. The model will be used for control design and simulation of the actuator by program Matlab Simulink in further research of mechatronic systems based on pneumatic artificial muscles.

Identification Of Pneumatic System In Closed Control Circuit

Abstract


The paper deals with the problem of on-line identification of linear model coefficients, which describes dynamic behaviour of pneumatic positional system, which is composed of electro-pneumatic proportional valve and pneumatic linear drive. There is described method of indirect identification of estimation of model parameters without auxiliary signal addition. The results from identification on real pneumatics system are mentioned too.

The DC Motor Speed Control System without Tachogenerator

Abstract


The speed control system of an externally-excited DC motor without tachogenerator (TG) is actually a discrete control circuit where the motor current is intentionally cut-off so that the induced armature voltage may be sensed. This voltage (proportional to the angular speed of a motor) is stored in analog memory during one sample period and processed by the speed controller. That’s how the speed control of a motor without TG is carried out – angular speed is sensed by the motor itself.
