Developing An Interface For The Special Target Group: Comparsion Of Verbal And Non-Verbal Voice Interaction
Vladimir BURES, Pavel CECH, Daniela PONCE
Abstract
Advanced information and communication technologies (ICT) can help us to support active aging. Unfortunately, many seniors cannot benefit from the number of computer programs designed to preserve cognitive ability, since they are more or less computer illiterate. The Vital Mind project uses a combination of cognitive psychology, the television medium and advanced interactive ICT to enable the elderly to actively participate in mind fitness exercises. This paper provides an in-depth analysis of verbal and non-verbal human to device voice interaction, which is grounded on the research conducted with group of elderly users who were interacted with an application using both methods of control. The particular attention of the research was devoted to test the verbal and non-verbal voice interaction in respect to the usability and preference of both modalities, the speed of processing the voice signals and the accuracy of recognition the voice signals.

Knowledge Management In Information Security
Oldrich LUNACEK
Abstract
This article discusses the possibilities of application of methodology for integrated safety management of classified information. Systematic work of many staff security management organization is marked by a huge amount of information processed. This information is of different nature and requires a different kind of treatment. Information must be used efficiently and on time. Information must be assessed comprehensively and adequately must also be evaluated. Today’s information overload rather difficult decision of responsible persons, and therefore the application of the methodology appear as an appropriate tool for the effective and rational management and dissemination of information. Information is systematically collected and evaluated and then the information can be used in knowledge bases. Knowledge management is also important from the perspective of how to look at the issue and how to express it rationally.

Unified modelling language utilization for Topic maps development
Vojtech ONDRYHAL
Abstract
The paper describes an approach for topic maps modeling using UML language. The target domain for the topic map is a data mining field.
Topic maps is a technology for knowledge representation and sharing based on ISO/IEC 13250 related standards. The technology is intended for large information sources organization, information aggregation in distributed environment, modelling complex rules and processes, navigation support and searching in large document collections. The main concepts of topic maps include topic, association and occurrence.
In the first part, the paper deals with UML extension for topic maps development in both short and extended forms. Next, the data mining domain is modeled using defined approach, the basic concepts are discovered, associations and roles are assigned, names and occurrences are defined. The main topics are discipline, method, measure, organization, person, software, term, event, task and visualization. Topic map for the data mining domain is created in ontopia set of tools, including ontopoly, omnigatior and vizigator.

Possible applications of knowledge approaches
Petr DO
Abstract
The paper nears problems of knowledge approaches and explains basic terms. It focuses on modern development tendencies in this field and so construes language for semantic description – OWL.
The article also describes the theory of ontology and methodology of their development, as part of knowledge management. It don’t forget on one of accessible solution for resulting usage representation and sharing knowledge in knowledge systems, i.e. subject maps subjects – the Topic Maps which are suitable implementation to the C2IS in the military area. The integral part of article is a view of available solutions and achieved the results of our semantic data access application research in commercial software.
Keywords

Knowledge Processing using Ontopia and Source Mage GNU/Linux
Ladislav HAGARA
Abstract
Ontopia – a complete set of tools for building, maintaining, and deploying Topic Maps based applications – is now open source. There are no obstacles to include Ontopia in Linux distributions. Source Mage GNU/Linux is one of Linux distributions which offer easy installation and updating of Ontopia for its users.
Source Mage GNU/Linux is a source-based GNU/Linux distribution. It allows users the maximum amount of freedom and choice possible. Instead of delivering binaries to users, the source code is compiled. This method allows the greatest control over the installed software. Any user can build his own unique system contained only necessary software. Software can be compiled with specific options and optimized for particular hardware, individual dependencies can be selected or deselected, security and optional patches can be applied. It is possible to review source codes of all applications, included patches as well as source codes of compilers and libraries. No needs to wait for someone else to provide a new binary package that (hopefully) fixes a security issue. You never truly know whether a security issue has been fixed or not unless you fix it yourself.
Ladislav Hagara is a one of the lead developers of Source Mage GNU/Linux. He has been responsible mainly for security and crypto related packages. Now he is responsible also for Ontopia spell and he is trying to design Topic Maps application based on Ontopia to support Source Mage developers.

Knowledge Management System of the Network Enabled Capability
Ladislav BUŘITA
Abstract
The project „Knowledge Management of the Czech Armed Forces (CAF) Network Enabled Capability (NEC)” is the first research project dealing with the problems of knowledge acquisition, processing, and their use in the Czech military. The project started with analysis of the knowledge approaches and tools that could support the NEC area. The main goal of the project is to suggest a knowledge system of the process administration in the CAF NEC. The solution principles and methodology are described. The basic terms are depicted. Topic Maps™, the theoretical base of the solution, are explained; ideas of the knowledge system are mentioned, and proposed methodology is described. The prepared system should support the organisation of information, the knowledge acquisition, record the results of the NEC building, and assure the quality of the CAF NEC survey for the decision support process.

Knowledge Management and Virtualization
Vlastimil MALY
Abstract
Knowledge management in practical way uses nowadays more and more software tools. These software tools are becoming more complex and process very large volumes of data. Such kind of software is based on huge databases and very sophisticated network solutions. This is exactly the right place for increasingly and successfully usage of virtualization technologies and tools. The virtualization lets you run multiple virtual machines on a single physical machine, sharing the resources of that single computer across multiple environments. Different virtual machines can run different operating systems and multiple applications on the same physical computer.
